Royal Wedding to run at Fontwell on "the big day"!

A racehorse called Royal Wedding is set to attract punters on royal wedding day.

Bookmakers have installed the gelding, trained by Nick Gifford, as an 8-1 chance for the 1730 BST race at Fontwell Park on Friday. "With all the connotations, the horse probably will be backed," the trainer told BBC Radio 5 live.

"He's got good previous course experience and he'll love the ground, so he'd have an each-way chance."

Importantly, the merger will increase the resilience of the combined agency's operations in a difficult financial climate. Joining the two organisations creates new and wider opportunities to identify more cost effective, flexible and robust ways of working. AHVLA will work across Great Britain on behalf of Defra, the Welsh Assembly Government, and the Scottish Government.
