We run the infamous BEVA Congress, which gives you the opportunity to get three full days of CPD, all at a special member rate.

We also work with other CPD partners to run BEVA approved CPD courses (meaning our Education Committee has approved the content of the course) and all BEVA members are able to attend these at discounted rates.

BEVA Council represent you

BEVA is run by 20 council members and a board of management who are all working in equine veterinary medicine. They represent you to our regulatory body, to Government, and to the wider equine industry. They work hard to ensure equine vets have a voice and that your needs and the whole equine veterinary profession is counted.

Improving your working lives

BEVA Council sit on our committees and work across a huge range of projects to improve the working lives of equine vets. From looking at the retention of vets in equine practice through to safer horse handling skills, our council members will deliver projects that will have a direct impact on your day to day.

Championing equine health and welfare

BEVA Council members also work on projects that enhance equine health and welfare. From tackling equine obesity to looking at anthelmintic resistance, council members work hard behind the scenes to improve the health of our horses.

The favourite is the BEVA Equine Formulary app which covers over 700 separate drug dose regimens (for over 400 different drugs) and acts as a complete reference for vets treating horses.
