Lord Lawson Soulsby died peacefully on 8th May 2017. His friend Judy MacArthur Clark writes:

“He has been in uncertain health for quite some time and was deteriorating in the last few weeks. His daughter, Katriona Bulloch, was at his side at the end. The funeral service will be in Swaffham Prior Church in about three weeks…. The family has requested no flowers and instead asked for donations to be made to The Soulsby Foundation which we are currently setting up as a charity in his name to support fellowships in One World One Health. More details in due course. I also expect there to be a Memorial Service held in due course, probably in London in the Autumn. [Details will be published in the vet record]”
