Deirdre was selected as our first ever Member of the Month. Nominated by her colleague at McGonnell and Gillatt Horse Vets, Deirdre is celebrated for being an out of hours superhero who despite having the worst luck manages all of her late night call outs like a champion.

As a registered veterinary nurse at Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in Kent, Sam has spent the past eight years dedicating herself to the care and wellbeing of horses, with a particular passion for stud nursing. Her nomination highlighted her exceptional work in stud nursing, where she’s known for keeping everything running seamlessly, never asking for credit, and simply getting the job done.

Nominated by a colleague for being an incredible mentor, boss and advocate for independent practice, Emiliano runs his own ambulatory practice south of Newbury. He stresses the importance of shared values and the importance of fostering unity among team members.

Gayle was nominated by her colleagues for always being willing to get stuck in to anything and her approach to client care. Working at Perth Equine Vets in Scotland, she's praised for taking just a little bit of extra time with her clients to explain what's going on with their horses and as such she's become a real favourite! Her dedication stretches beyond just the day job though, she's been known to take part in hobby-horsing in the name of social media too!

Angus was nominated anonymously for his ever-positive attitude, commitment to charity work and how he supports his colleagues. Angus splits his time between working at Blackdown Equine Clinic in the UK and at the charity he co-founded, Veterinary Education Malawi. He's also a member of our BEVA Trust Committee.
