It is of utmost importance that you and your staff are aware of the venue's security, emergency and evacuation procedures. You should nominate a sufficient number of staff to ensure that these procedures are observed at all times.

Security Advice
Exhibitors are requested to use ‘common-sense precautions’ at all times. The security provided by BEVA has been implemented to prevent unauthorised access to the hall and not to secure the contents of your stand (the venue has general building security but this is not event specific). Each Exhibitor is solely responsible for their property and necessary precautions should be taken. Please remember to be vigilant throughout the event (this includes during the build, event open times and breakdown) to ensure the safety of your property. If items cannot be watched then it is important that they are properly secured and that your stand is not left unattended. Special care should be taken of mobile phones as these can be easily misplaced or stolen. Do not leave your stand unattended. Neither the BEVA, nor venue, accept any responsibility for damage or loss of any properties introduced by the exhibitor or their agents/contractors.

Checking Your Area
It is important to make constant checks of your stand to ensure that no unidentifiable packages, cases, or bags have been deposited. Please nominate a person to check at regular intervals, and if suspicions arise, do not touch the article but call the Security Control Room (Internal 3333, external 0121 200 2000 option 1) or contact the nearest Host.
In the event of an evacuation, and when leaving your area each night, please ensure that:

  • Appliances are switched off
  • The area is checked for other potentially dangerous items
