Clear Purpose & Role
• Every volunteer will have a clear, well-defined role agreed in advance.
• We’ll ensure you understand your tasks, the purpose behind them, and how your contribution supports BEVA’s mission.
• Volunteer roles are designed with your interests and expertise in mind.
Training & Support
• You’ll receive appropriate induction and training to support your volunteer role.
• Ongoing support will be provided through a designated BEVA contact.
• Your feedback is welcome—and valued. We’ll use it to help improve the volunteering experience.
A Safe and Inclusive Environment
• We’re committed to providing a safe, secure, and healthy volunteering environment.
• Volunteers and employees work together in settings free from harassment, bullying, violence, or discrimination.
• If you have any questions or concerns whilst volunteering with the BEVA Group please approach your BEVA contact in the first instance. If this is not appropriate please contact the BEVA office who will direct you to the relevant BEVA employee.

• Volunteers are here to enhance—not replace—our paid workforce.
• We value and respect both volunteers and employees equally and strive to ensure good collaboration between the two.
• Volunteers can help shape BEVA’s volunteering policies, and we’re open to shared dialogue on how we can improve.
What we ask of our volunteers
Commitment & Conduct
• Please respect the time and tasks agreed for your role, as well as the quality of work expected.
• Always act in line with BEVA’s mission, ethos, and core values.
• Avoid using your volunteer role to inappropriately promote personal or third-party interests.

• Treat everyone with kindness and respect, upholding non-discrimination in all activities.
• Support our inclusive culture and contribute to a welcoming environment for all.
Policies & Procedures
• Familiarise yourself with and follow BEVA’s key policies, including health and safety, safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing. The Group policies can be found here.
