Join us for a webinar to discuss the BEVA Primary Care Guidelines on joint medication and worm control on Thursday 14 January from 16:30 (GMT). Find out more about the event here and register your place.

What are Primary Care Guidelines?

BEVA Primary Care Guidelines is a project that began in 2017 with the aim of producing consensus statements for equine primary care practitioners.

The guidelines are developed by a team of experts who look at current literature and evaluate the theme to set a benchmark in time against the strength and weakness of evidence that supported it. The final report is then published in EVJ.

What Guidelines are there?

In 2018 we developed Primary Care Guidelines for Analgesia and in 2019 we developed guidelines on wound management. Both of which have been published in Equine Veterinary Journal and are available to view on the Wiley Online Library.

We are currently finalising guidelines for joint medication, Fran James has led this project and will provide an update on the final report during the webinar in January.

Dave Rendle is leading a project to develop guidelines on worm control and will also provide an update on the team’s progress during the webinar.

The webinar will provide you with the opportunity to hear the current findings as well as comment and discuss them.

We hope to see you there.
