Equine Veterinary Surgeon – applications from new graduates welcome.

We’re looking for a new Equine Vet to come and join our friendly team based in Keighley West Yorkshire. The role will be predominantly ambulatory but we have the facilities for further in-house work up which will be fully supported by colleagues. All work options ie full time/part time, are a possibility for the right candidate.

We cover both Yorkshire and Lancashire, are close to the Yorkshire Dales but have Leeds and Bradford within easy reach.

Our equine department consists of a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 Certificate holders and 3 VetGDP Advisors. We operate out of a purpose built facility with a large treatment room, stocks, full inpatients facilities, 8 stables, trot up and lunge and all the equipment to work up cases in house.  The team have a variety of interests and are supported by our nurses and admin team.

We are based in the same premises as our Small Animal department so plenty of people about to meet if you join the team.

We offer:

• Salary: from £33,000 rising with experience

• 1:6 weekend rota – we have a night ANA on site to take calls and assist vets OOHs

If you are a new graduate and want to be on our Graduate Development Programme at VetPartners, you will be able to embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD, and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience, to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service, and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.
