Part-Time or Full-Time Vet - Tom Walters Equine Vets - Cheshire

Vet
30 Apr 2024 BEVA

We are looking for a full or part time equine ambulatory vet to join our practice based in Cheshire.

Salary is of course dependent upon experience with a range of between £40,000 to £75,000, we encourage applications from all levels of experience.

Our new team member will continue the work of our colleague of nearly 10 years who has left us to pursue a position outside of clinical practice.

You’ll be working throughout the Cheshire and Staffordshire areas, our team has been and will get back up to 4 vets in total. You will be equipped with the usual diverse range of clients upon whom you will practice your first opinion veterinary magic. To enable this, we will provide exclusive use of a vehicle (available also for personal use) with the full array of mobile diagnostic equipment, laptop and mobile.

A choice between a one in three or one in four OOH rota (depending on how much you want to earn) can be made.

We are a small, established team with a low turnover of staff. We work closely together despite being an ambulatory practice and you will be able to rely on camaraderie and clinical guidance of the highest level. Your potential colleagues have a wealth of experience to draw upon from years of equine specific experience.

The ideal candidate would have an interest in dentistry or a willingness to progress in this direction.

Whilst we are currently entirely ambulatory, we have also considered the possibility of pioneering a move towards taking on standing surgeries. Hopefully this will be of interest to the new team member.

We are proud to be independent and have no plans to change things on this score, meaning the right candidate will enjoy clinical freedom and whose contribution will be welcomed in terms of progressing the practice.

 Offering –

Very competitive salary DOE (higher than the national median salary for both new grads and established vets according to the latest SPIVS survey)

Exclusive use of vehicle with all costs covered (personal mileage charged where appropriate)
