The Halton (main surgery) borders Wendover Woods and is surrounded by beautiful scenery (including a fantastic sunset on a good day!), we encourage staff to get out at lunchtime for a scenic walk with their dogs which we have specific facilities for during the working day.

We are looking for an equine Nurse who enjoys all aspects of their job, equine experience for this role is essential.

About the rota

As a practice we still offer our own OOH service and therefore some weekend inpatient cover will be required.  A typical working week comprises of 5 working days with variable 8 hour shifts between 8am and 7pm, some overnight inpatient care may also be required (additional OOH retainer fees may be paid on top of agreed upon salary).

Bring your dog to work!

We have staff kennels so you are able to bring your dog to work.  Not only does it mean that you do not have to worry about your dog being at home alone on those busy days, but you can also get out of the building at lunch time.  Stretch your legs in the scenic countryside!

Want to know more about us?

We are a busy mixed practice based just outside of Wendover, a small market town with great transport links to London and the rest of the country via train.  Our branch surgery is situated in Great Missenden and is easily accessible from the main practice by car.  Transport links from here are also excellent, with a mainline train enabling you to easily access London.

At our equine clinic we have excellent facilities with access to x-ray, ultrasound, gastroscope, endoscope, laser and dentistry equipment, we also share a well-equipped laboratory with our small animal team.
