Submissions are now open for clinical research abstracts to be presented at BEVA Congress 2026.
Our clinical research sessions offer you the platform to share new insights, case-based observations and practice-enhancing findings focused on equids. Whether you work in clinical practice, academia or research, this is your opportunity to contribute to the advancement of equine veterinary medicine.
Three abstract categories for 2026
This year, we’re accepting submissions in three formats:
• Clinical research abstracts (CRA)
• Clinical descriptive abstracts (CDA)
• Clinical audit abstracts (CAA)
This structure ensures that a wide range of clinical experiences and research outputs can be showcased.
Submission window
Submissions are now open and will close on Thursday 5 February 2026. Make a note in your diary!
Why you should submit
Presenting at BEVA Congress gives you the chance to share your work on the world stage. All accepted abstracts will be delivered as short oral presentations and will be considered for publication in a special online supplement of Equine Veterinary Journal (EVJ).
If selected, you will also receive free Congress registration for the day of your presentation, and discounted rates for any additional days you wish to attend.
The review and presentation process
All abstracts undergo a rigorous peer-review process. You can read our full submission guidelines here. To support a fair and unbiased review, we require two version of each submission:
1. Blinded copy for peer review – remove all author names, affiliations and identifying details and where necessary replace identifying information with “details masked for peer-review”.
2. Unblinded copy for production – include full author names and addresses beneath the abstract title, add all required ethical declarations at the end of the abstract and underline the name of the author who will present at Congress.
Good luck!
