We are inviting nominations for the 2024 BEVA Equine Welfare Award sponsored by The Blue Cross to recognise individuals and organisations who have made a significant contribution to equine welfare.

Sir Peter O’Sullivan was presented with the first BEVA Equine Welfare Award in 2003 for his charitable work, fundraising for causes which revolve around the protection of horses and farm animals. Other notable winners of the award include Brigadier Paul Jepson in 2011 for being a driving force behind strategic plans for disease management and control in the UK and more recently Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Thornycroft in 2022 for the support and initiatives she has worked on to support horses and people during the Ukraine conflict.

Nominations close on Friday 10 May 2024. All nominations will be reviewed by BEVA Trustees and The Blue Cross. The winner will be announced and the award presented at BEVA Congress 2024.
