Preventative care is at the heart of modern equine practice. This in-person course will give you practical, evidence-based strategies to reduce disease risk and improve long-term outcomes for the horses in your care.
Through case discussions, real-world examples, and expert guidance, you’ll explore proactive management of infectious disease, gastric conditions, metabolic syndromes, and parasite control equipping you with the tools to deliver tailored, risk-based preventive plans for every horse you manage.
This course is ideal for experienced equine vets working at certificate level who are responsible for preventive care planning on yard and individual horse level. It is perfect for vets who want to shift from reactive to proactive management, delivering evidence-based care tailored to individual horses and yards.
Nurses or students may attend if spaces are available, but the content assumes experience in on-yard situations and diagnostic decision-making.
