Professor Jean-Marie Denoix of the CIRALE (Centre of Imaging and Research on Equine Locomotor Affections) in Normandy is considered the world’s foremost equine musculoskeletal system anatomist aswell as a leading equine diagnostic ultrasonographer and lameness diagnostician. This practical one day course, led by Professor Denoix, will include live demonstrations of the ultrasonographic anatomy of the equine neck, back, pelvis and stifle in normal horses, with discussion of the diagnostic features of common clinical conditions affecting these areas. For the afternoon practical sessions, delegates will be divided into small groups to allow hands-on ultrasound imaging of live horses. There will also be opportunities to practise ultrasound-guided injections using cadaver material.
Full Course Programme
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to run our normal CPD programme until June at the earliest. This means Orthopaedic Ultrasound for Diagnosis and Treatment will not take place on 15 April 2020.
All affected delegates, speakers and sponsors have been notified with more information and the next steps. We will continue to keep delegates fully informed in the coming days and let you know how to claim a refund. Please bear with us whilst we work through the necessary steps.
During the outbreak we will be doing what we can to support our members and would welcome your thoughts on how best we could help you.
The course is designed for established equine vets with an interest in developing orthopaedic ultrasound techniques.
Our partners support our annual CPD programme, helping us to deliver some of the best equine veterinary CPD in the world.
