This congress is available to all veterinary undergraduates and newly/recently graduated vets, wishing to gain more knowledge and experience in the fields of equine veterinary medicine and surgery. It will include the following subjects:

Head and Neck
Our team will provide detailed lectures covering the upper airway, ocular examination and a guide to routine oral examination and treatments. There will also be a practical session on ocular, oral and upper airway examinations.

Cardiorespiratory
Our renowned team of specialists will cover the fundamentals of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and will provide a comprehensive guide to dealing with the coughing horse.

The Acute Abdomen
This series of lectures will describe routine colic examination on the yard and provide practical tips on the decision making process involved in referring a colic patient.

Lameness
Presentations will focus on the essentials of lameness examination, radiography in the field, dealing with the acute non-weight bearing lameness and the laminitic patient. There will also be a wet lab covering distal limb anatomy and nerve blocks.

Getting the Most from your Laboratory
Members of our medicine and laboratory teams will provide lectures on sample selection to aid your clinical investigation, updates on endocrinology and choosing the correct worming protocols.

The course fee also includes a course dinner on Saturday night, daily refreshments, lunch on both days of the forum, and breakfast rolls on the Sunday morning.
