About this course

Embryo transfer in high-level competition mares has gained significant popularity, with increasing demand from clients for embryo transfer techniques, we are pleased to announce a brand-new two-day course.

Designed for equine veterinary surgeons who are confident at regular repro work and are wanting to take the next step this course will give you the opportunity to discuss and explore more advanced and niche techniques.

In collaboration with leading names who have extensive, practical experience with both embryo transfer and export of semen and embryos, we have developed a course programme that will provide discussion and the opportunity to get hands-on experience. Topics covered will include advanced handling and processing of fresh and frozen semen, oocyte harvesting, semen thawing and handling, embryo handing and transfer, and epididymal extraction.

We will discuss the realities and practicalities of choosing and managing recipient mares.

By the end of the course you will...

  • Have gained tips for maximising embryo recovery during embryo flush and search
