Student Equine Veterinary Nurse
We now have a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Student Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our growing nursing team at Cotts Equine Hospital.
This hospital-based role offers the opportunity to train within an equine referral and first-opinion hospital environment, supporting the delivery of a high standard of patient care and client service while developing the skills required to become a qualified Equine Veterinary Nurse.
Working alongside our experienced team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and interns, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across all areas of the hospital including medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging and emergency care. The role will involve assisting with patient care, preparation for procedures and surgery, maintaining high standards of hygiene and biosecurity, and supporting the day-to-day running of the hospital as well as helping our ambulatory team on the road.
The successful candidate will be supported through their training to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing, gaining experience across a broad range of equine medical and surgical cases while working alongside an experienced clinical team. The position will include participation in a 1 in 4 on-call rota, providing exposure to emergency and critical care cases within the hospital setting.

Previous horse handling experience is essential.

Cotts has grown to include three branches boasting 12 ambulatory veterinarians, two hospital interns, two surgery diplomates and one internal medicine diplomate.
