An outbreak of Vesicular Stomatitis has been found within four horses in Texas. The USA has been free of the disease since July 2012, when it had been found in New Mexico and Colorado.
This means that for at least the next six months horses from the USA cannot be certified on the basis of country freedom for Vesicular Stomatitis but will have to be individually blood tested prior to export.
