This popular one-day equine cardiology course is being offered again in 2019. This is a practical course and covers all the commonly encountered cardiovascular abnormalities in horses. Emphasis is placed on auscultation and hands-on interpretation of clinical findings using horses with cardiac abnormalities brought into the racing school. The course includes over 3 hours of practical case examination and case discussion of horses affected with all the common cardiac abnormalities that you are likely to encounter in general practice, so please bring suitable clothing and your stethoscope. The course is ideal for equine practitioners and RCVS cardiology certificate candidates.

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES • Develop and hone your clinical skills, so that you can confidently identify all of the day-day to murmurs and arrhythmia in horses. • Use your clinical skills and new-found knowledge to allow you to interpret your auscultation findings to best advise your clients in future. • Acquire a logical approach to interpreting clinical findings of different clinical cases. • Gain knowledge of currently available treatment and management strategies for the management of equine cardiac disease.
