VetPD Equine Pre-Purchase Examination – An International Perspective

Across Europe, the pre-purchase examination of horses is handled very differently and is associated with many challenging and contentious issues. It is a common cause of significant problems for equine practitioners and this deters a good number of vets from getting involved.

This course is aimed at practitioners who are interested in learning the general principles of the systematic and thorough pre-purchase exam and in discussing national differences relevant to practitioners vetting horses for foreign buyers. Experienced vets will also have plenty to keep them entertained as frequently and occasionally arising questions and challenges and various clinical scenarios will be extensively discussed in an open and honest way.
