Over the past 20 years equine over-conditioning and obesity have emerged as a major problem with weight loss on the other hand remaining a clinical manifestation of various clinical conditions that veterinarians are regularly confronted with.

This course was developed for general practitioners who want to update their theoretical knowledge and especially their practical knowhow on how to analyse and modify a horse’s diet from a composition, rationing, quality and caloric point of view. The topic is approached from a practitioner’s perspective in a very practical way through lectures including useful tips and tricks, interactive case discussions and practical hands-on sessions on live horses.
