World Equine Airway Symposium 2017

The World Equine Airway Symposium (WEAS) 2017 is arranged and held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in close cooperation between the Nordic countries. Copenhagen is strategically located in terms of easy access by air, sea and ground, and local infrastructure will let you travel with ease.

WEAS 2017 will take place at the stunning Langelinie Pavillonen sited by the waterfront, which provides a beautiful view and easy access to historic surroundings as ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Kastellet’, and Amalienborg – the Queen’s residential. Hotels are located nearby the venue, and a short stroll in the streets of Copenhagen will let you meet the citizens of the happiest country in the world. Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark will be the Patron of World Equine Airway Symposium. CONTENT inline-title World Equine Airway Symposium is the only international symposium devoted solely to equine respiratory disease.

The programme will include pathogenesis, diagnosis, management and treatment of horse respiratory diseases. There will be an international cadre of speakers. The topics will be concurrent research and clinical sessions.

Clinical sessions will include: Dynamic endoscopy and imaging in the diagnosis of upper airway disease. When is surgery necessary and what to do about upper airway obstructions. Managing the horse with chronic lower airway inflammation. Strangles, Rhodococcus and other infections. Special problems of foals Vaccination programs Roundtables to discuss clinical issues with experts.
