book iconAbout the Course

"Accountability" From Wikipedia – the free encyclopaedia: In ethics and governance, accountability is answerability, blameworthiness, liability, and the expectation of account-giving. As in an aspect of governance, it has been central to discussions related to problems in the public sector, nonprofit and private (corporate) and individual contexts. In leadership roles, accountability is the acknowledgment and assumption of responsibility for actions, products, decisions, and policies including the administration, governance, and implementation within the scope of the role or employment position and encompassing the obligation to report, explain and be answerable for resulting consequences.

The purpose of the course is to inform and update equine vets interested in and working within the racing industry regarding areas of welfare concern, areas of potential welfare concern and perceived areas of welfare concern (e.g. by members of the public) within the racing industry. Frank and open discussion will be encouraged during the course.

Proceeds to be donated to World Horse Welfare.
