The successful applicant will gain experience in surgery, general anaesthesia, diagnostic anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasonography and scintigraphy), neonatology and internal medicine. Interns work closely with a boarded specialist surgeon and a consultant specialist in internal medicine and critical care. Interns are primarily responsible for daily in-patient care (including out of hours) in addition to a small amount of ambulatory cases and follow-up of hospitalised cases.The position is suited to individuals who have some practice experience (small or large animals) however recent graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants must demonstrate competence and confidence in handling horses, speak fluent english and have a degree registerable with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. Off-site accommodation and car provided additional to salary of €18000 pa.
