Bourton Vale Equine Clinic is seeking an individual with a passion for equine reproductive medicine to join the stud team. The position is available initially as a 6-month intern position, with a long-term position as a full-time stud vet is available for the right candidate.
The successful candidate should preferably have some experience in equine reproductive medicine, with a desire to further their knowledge-base and skill set in this area. The practice has three experienced stud vets who will require assistance throughout the approaching stud season giving the opportunity for rapid up-skilling in this area of equine veterinary practice.
The stud sector of the practice includes National hunt thoroughbred studs, Sports Horse studs and leisure horse breeding. In addition, the clinic currently provides services for chilled and frozen artificial insemination, and embryo transfer.
Bourton Vale is a 14-vet independent practice, based in the Cotswolds. The clinic is fully equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, scintigraphy and standing MRI facilities, and a surgical theatre; enabling referral of any complex ambulatory cases into our own clinic.
