Permanent position
40 hours per week
7.30 am – 16.00 pm (Monday to Friday)
Occasional cover for on call duties and weekend work may be required.

Starting salary £21,944.00 – £23,025.60 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Rising to £22,609.60 - £23,462.40 after successful completion of probation period.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well organised individual, to manage the nursing team and facilitate the provision of 24/7 care for the equine residents at Redwings Horse Sanctuary.

You will be working closely with the Veterinary Surgeons and the Assistant to the Head of Veterinary & Care, ensuring good communication with the Nursing Team Leader and provide continuity of leadership at all times.

The role involves ensuring appropriate triage of presented patients so that they are dealt with efficiently and in order of priority.

The ideal candidate is expected to have a RVN or EVN Qualification, be able to demonstrate good computer literacy skills, with experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel, you will have experience of managing a team with the ability to work to strict deadlines.  

Experience in working in the veterinary industry would be desirable.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate that they have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection within the work environment.

A full, clean, manual driving licence essential.
