About the course

Hosted by The Equine Veterinary Dental Association (EVDA), this practical hands-on dental course will provide recent graduates, those clinicians returning to equine general practice and those wanting to refresh their routine dental skills ample opportunity to do so in small teaching groups on live horses.

The course will be held in Newmarket over two days in June, and will include comprehensive lectures and group discussions focusing on the following subjects:

  • Complete Dental Examination
  • Perfect Rasping of Cheek Teeth
  • Basics of Periodontal Disease
  • Indications for further Investigation
  • Incisor Considerations
  • Wolf Teeth Removal

  • This course complements other fundamental and basic examination and rasping courses, and will give delegates further chance to become confident and proficient in routine equine dental care.

The lectures and discussion forums will take place at Rossdales Equine Hospital and the practical teaching will be done at the British Racing School.
