BEVA Congress 2009 was the best attended Congress in the Association's history with 1,350 delegates on the first day alone. There were several new departures this year including the very successful careers and networking evening, to be repeated and expanded next year to include an informal social event for our recently graduated delegates.

Another first was the Presidential opening speech delivered by video in which Chris House summarised the many activities of the Association and announced a number of new initiatives including the launch of the new NEWC Compendium, the expansion of the BEVA undergraduate tour to include the universities of Utrecht and Ghent and the BEVA Trust's support of the Selwyn College, Cambridge Research Fellowship.

For more information on any of the above or the work of the Association please contact the BEVA office on or 01638 723 556
