The BEVA Cycle Sportive is back!
Join us to cover one hundred miles of West Berkshire (shorter routes available) and raise money for some good causes. Choose from three routes...
Riders start in Newbury and travel through the bluebell woods of the Thames Valley, down across the River Thames on the picturesque toll bridge before climbing up and going down to reach Streatley followed by a gentle waft along flat(ish) roads through the Berkshire Downs.
- 40 miles
- 75 miles
- 100 miles
For those continuing on the 75 and 100 mile routes you will then head out west past the Uffington White Horse and onto a climb to the Lambourn Downs and past the historic training grounds of Seven Barrows.
The final section will take you across low lying countryside by the River Kennet, followed by a climb of Coombe Gibbet. Finished off with a quick loop around Waybury Hill before returning to Newbury.
The day will finish with a BBQ (included in the entry fee).
The cycle event starts and finishes at Newbury Rugby Club. Parking, facilities and refreshments will be available here for all participants.
All profits made will be donated to the BEVA Trust, who work to enhance equine welfare globally. They provide opportunities, support and funding to allow members of the veterinary team to volunteer for projects that seek to enhance equine welfare both nationally and globally, in partnership with other organisations
