My name is Hardie and I am a 4th year student from Perthshire studying at the RDSVS in Edinburgh. I first developed a passion for equine veterinary medicine while completing a horse care and management college course in my early teens and I haven’t looked back since! In my spare time I enjoy running, riding and playing hockey and I have a particular interest in the teaching and further education of both horses and their owners alike.

I am a Dutch 23 year old veterinary medicine student at Ghent University in Belgium. Horses have been one of my great interests since I was a young girl. Growing up I always knew that I wanted to become a vet someday and I am beyond excited to be in my fourth year of studying to become one. I am the Vice President of the Veterinary Student Association Ghent - equine division. We are an association led by veterinary medicine students at the University of Ghent that organises lectures, workshops and excursions to equine (medicine) facilities for our fellow students. This will be my second year in the board of VSGp and after attending a couple of BEVA Vet school lectures I am very excited to continue our collaboration with BEVA.

I am a mature student at the University of Surrey. Prior to vet school I was a head groom for numerous elite event riders, where I enjoyed accompanying the horses to top competitions and championships around the world. I love travelling and have spent time volunteering at vet clinics in multiple countries providing aid to the working equid populations. I am so excited to graduate as a vet (hopefully!) and am currently interested in every aspect of veterinary medicine from orthopedics to orbiviruses.
