Committee Chair Dave Rendle provides an update on the latest Health and Medicines Committee meeting. During which they discussed ongoing projects including:
• Equine vet champions project with RCVS Knowledge and the BSAVA to implement antimicrobial stewardship champions in equine practice and start benchmarking resistance data.
• Anthelmintic stewardship – meetings with the VMD and BHS to discuss how to better inform the profession and owners
• Changes to reporting of notifiable diseases – the Committee will be publishing bite-size guidance on this soon.
