Tim Mair will be joining Silvia Janska to speak at the SPVS-VMG Sustainability in Veterinary Practice and Beyond summit on 27 January 2021.

This one-day, live and interactive online CPD course will be dedicated to facilitating improved sustainability for veterinary professionals. Whilst serving as BEVA President, Tim was committed to ensuring that BEVA promotes green values to its members and staff and during his presidency BEVA signed up to the Investors in the Environment programme to evaluate our working practices and make changes to improve sustainability. BEVA are working towards Bronze accreditation. Our 2019 Congress encouraged delegates to car-share and use public transport to travel to the venue, we supplied reusable water bottles to reduce single-use plastic.

The SPVS VMG meeting will see Tim take this further as he and Silvia consider the top three most environmentally harmful actions in equine practice, and what steps practices can take, and advise their clients to take, to address these.

Tim and Silvia will be joined by Laura Higham of Vet Sustain, April Sotomayor of iiE, Professor the Lord Trees, Ellie West of Linneaus Environmental Sustainability, Rob Howe of LLM Farm Vets and Justine Shotton, BVA JVP and Head Vet at Marwell Zoo.

Tickets for the event start at £75 and all lectures will be recorded and made available to registrants.
