Course Description:
This one and a half day course is being held immediately before BEVA Congress in Liverpool. The course is aimed at advanced practitioners, specialists and residents with an interest in the diagnosis and surgical management of equine colic, including post-operative care. Lectures will provide up-to-date information about the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, surgical treatment, post-operative care and post-operative complications of equine colic patients. The practical session will cover surgical exploration of the abdomen and resection / anastomosis techniques utilising cadaver material. A panel discussion will allow delegates to participate in in-depth case discussions.
