Skin related problems and diseases are common in any type of horse and pony and equine practitioners are therefore regularly exposed to such cases on routine visits or during pre-purchase examinations. Despite the undeniable importance of dermatology to the equine clinician, most veterinarians have received only limited training in this area whilst in vet school or as a young assistant.
This practically-oriented two-day course is intended to provide the equine or mixed practitioner with an overview of the most common skin conditions affecting the horse and pony and how to approach them systematically and practically.
