Joints, Mares and Doping

10 Mar 2022 - 10 Mar 2022
18:00 - 21:30

Lakeside Conference Centre,
Lifton,

book iconAbout the Course

Joint medications are changing, and here is a chance for an update on new drugs and combinations, and how to mitigate potential adverse effects. The ‘mareish’ mare is a continuing challenge for riders, and along with foal rejection by newly foaled mares, difficult mare behaviour can be a huge issue. We will have an update of strategies on dealing with both of these. Anyone working with competition horses must be aware of the risk of an adverse finding when horses are dope tested in competition. Myths on testing abound so we will try to separate fact from fiction.
