VetPD Donkey Medicine & Surgery

This 2-day practical course provides equine practitioners with a good overview on all medical, orthopaedic and surgical aspects specific to donkeys allowing participants to not only expand their knowledge but especially their hands-on skillset. Through the lectures the speakers will highlight how different donkeys are from horses and will share useful tips and tricks with the attendees.

Between both afternoons, 7 hours of practical sessions will give attendees plenty of opportunity to put theory into practice on live donkeys and cadaver specimens and to ask questions in small groups (2 – 4 attendees / ultrasound machine), all under the supervision of specialists.

This course is suitable for RCVS Modules: B-EP.3; C-E.1; C-E.2; C –E.3; C-E.5; C-E.6; C-E.7; C-E.12; C-E.13; C–E.15; C-E.16; C-E.17; C-VA.2
