Full Course Programme
A very practical 'hands on' course designed for new or recent graduates or those in mixed practice with varied levels of equine work. The course will cover sedation and field anaesthesia required for common field surgery such as castration both in theory and in a practical session. Nerve blocks and regional anaesthesia for other common procedures will also be covered on cadavers. In response to feedback from the 2018 Sedation, Field Anaesthesia and Castrate course this has been relocated to World Horse Welfare's Hall Farm for 2019, to increase the number of colts available. In order to maximise hands on practical time lectures will take place on the evening of the 27th allowing the 28th to be centred on the practical side of the course. Notes will be available in advance.
Please read and adhere to the BEVA Biosecurity Instructions for Practical Courses, which can be found here.
