Gastro-intestinal Fundamentals

This highly practical course will include case based presentations discussing relevant advances in our understanding of common presentations of gastro-intestinal disease in the horse. Practical's will allow delegates to practice skills using live horses and models including assessment of horses with colic, gastroscopy and abdominal ultrasound using the FAST protocol.

Please note, delegates MUST bring photographic ID with them on the day, you will not be allowed in the venue without it. The Army have also requested full delegate details and car registration numbers, 72 hours before the meeting for security reasons. Therefore, no bookings will be accepted for this course after 1.00pm on Friday 16th March.

  • Cancellation less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the course: No refunds can be guaranteed, but if BEVA can resell the place a refund will be made less a 20% administrative charge.
  • Transfer of Delegate: Booked places can be transferred to another person. If the transferee is not a BEVA Member he/she will be liable for the difference between the Member and Non-Member delegate rates.
  • Insurance: All delegates must have appropriate liability and professional indemnity insurance.
  • Safety: Delegates must bring appropriate safety wear (coveralls, hard hats, boots etc) to courses involving practical sessions.
