Job Description

The clientele is diverse and ranges from internationals eventers, jumpers, dressage, reining to happy hackers. The ability to relate to a wide range of clients in addition to leading a team of vets who are passionate about their work are key skills that the successful applicant will need. The role provides the opportunity to shape the direction of the practice and to mentor a progressive team.

CPD is encouraged with several current and former vets either holding or enrolled on certificates.

Good range of portable diagnostic equipment including DR, ultrasound, respiratory and gastroscopes, shockwave & motorised dentistry. 

Seasonal variety of work with some AI/stud work. Visiting specialists provide back up for as needed. 

Hawkhurst is in the Weald of Kent, close to London, South Coast and Gatwick/Channel Tunnel with grammar schools locally. Associated small animal clinic in same premises.

Package commensurate with experience. Working hours are 8.30am-6.30pm with OOH duties 1 night a week (unless you have worked the weekend) and a shared weekend rota of 1 in 5. OOH work is well rewarded with time off in lieu and remuneration.
