Job Description

The Scone Equine Hospital offers an 18-month internship commencing in July 2020. The surgical facility boasts three
recovery rooms, one surgical suite for clean surgeries and two surgical suites for contaminated surgeries. All surgical
procedures are performed including arthroscopy, laparoscopy, major fracture repair, abdominal surgery, ocular surgery
and reproductive surgery. Surgical case load is supported by the intensive care unit with 34 stables, staffed 24/7 with
experienced nurses, interns and four internal medicine specialists and a 24-hour laboratory service. Diagnostic imaging
is well equipped with “state of art” equipment to provide the most accurate and up to date diagnostic imaging
available, with ultrasonography, endoscopy and digital radiography with a dedicated field radiography team.
