Two Experienced Stud vets sought in the Curragh, Kildare, Ireland
Troytown Greyabbey Equine Veterinary Services comprises a referral hospital and ambulatory practice in Kildare town, the heart of the Irish Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, and is 60 km southwest of Dublin city centre. Sixteen veterinary surgeons are employed by the practice between ambulatory and hospital based roles. The practice was incorporated into the Central Veterinary Services (CVS) Group in July 2018. Clients include major international Thoroughbred breeding farms and prestigious sports horse breeding establishments. The hospital has stabling for up to forty horses and is equipped to provide gold standard surgical and medical care. There is a well established artificial insemination program and laboratory facilities for routine testing.

Responsibilities for the advertised positions include Thoroughbred farm mare and foal management, problem mare workup's and ambulatory calls.
Ideal candidates will be energetic, people and patient orientated, team spirited, flexible and keen to develop their skills.
Clinicians with experience in reproductive emergencies, in particular dystocia, are particularly welcome. The hospital regularly undertakes advanced reproductive surgical techniques including laparoscopic uteropexy and topical prostaglandin treatment.
Kildare has excellent road and rail links to Dublin and the rest of Ireland. Dublin International airport is only 50 km away.
