Rossdales LLP is an exclusively equine practice in the UK, with over 45 veterinary surgeons providing expertise across a wide range of disciplines from its practice in Newmarket, its world-renowned Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in nearby Exning, and branch practices in Hertfordshire and Lambourn. An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated veterinary surgeon to join our highly experienced team of veterinary surgeons, servicing and supporting our world-renowned racing team, working from our expanding Lambourn Practice. The successful candidate will have previous relevant experience, as well as having confidence and experience in vetting high value racehorses.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated veterinary surgeon to join our highly experienced racing team, working from our expanding Lambourn Practice.

This exciting role offers the potential to work with some of the most elite Thoroughbred horses in training. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year’s postgraduate experience and have completed an equine internship, although all applications are welcomed.

Our Lambourn Practice is supported by Rossdales Laboratories, our Diagnostic Centre, our Equine Hospital and Medical Intensive Care Unit for fast response diagnostic, surgical and medical procedures.

This is an excellent position for someone wishing to enhance their experience and knowledge in all areas of Thoroughbred Practice.

The successful candidate will be able to take advantage of an excellent CPD package which promotes learning both externally and with access to the internationally renowned Rossdales CPD programmes. There is also the opportunity to spend time working with some of our vets who provide specialist services within Rossdales.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Applicants must be eligible to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and must have the right to work in UK.

Clinicians currently working abroad are welcome to apply, but must be registered with the RCVS at the time of interview.  Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
