NEH is one of the largest equine hospitals in Europe. It is a purpose built state-of-the-art facility with RCVS accreditation as a Tier 3 specialist equine hospital. Our hospital clinicians are specialist in their field, holding Diploma qualifications endorsed with extensive clinical experience.
Veterinary surgeons are ascribed to a specialist service to work with the clinicians, and rotate between services (surgery, medicine, sports medicine, anaesthesia). Supervision is provided by clinicians including 5 ECVS, 1 ACVSM&R Diplomate, 1 ECEIM Diplomates and 3 ECVA Diplomates.
The internship provides training and experience for most equine post-graduate specialist qualifications and has an excellent track record of successfully preparing candidates for residency positions. The training also provides invaluable experience for future work in equine practice. All veterinary surgeons are given the opportunity to undertake a project suitable for publication.
