Equine Veterinary Nurse - Qualified RVN
Due to continued expansion of Newmarket Equine Hospital, we are seeking to recruit a registered equine veterinary nurse to join our enthusiastic and highly motivated hospital team. Based within our world class facility, this position provides the opportunity for exposure to a large and varied caseload, with rotations taking place through the following areas: theatre, intensive care, inpatient care, diagnostic investigation, standing surgery, dispensary and pharmacy.
The successful applicant will have outstanding attention to detail in performing all general nursing duties, including: inpatient care (bandaging, treatments and checks), placing intravenous catheters, intensive care assistance and theatre (circulating and scrub nurse, intra-operative radiography).
Applicants must be:
- RCVS qualified nurse
- Registered with the RCVS as an equine veterinary nurse
- Experienced in handling and working around a variety of horses
- Some weekend work will be required on a rotating basis, as will participation in the out of hours on-call rota.
