An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager with strong organisational skills to manage our practice. We are looking for a proactive, organised person who can help in the development of the practice as well as manage the day-to-day running of the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

·         general management of office and staff including vets

·         personnel

·         communication

·         marketing

·         financial management

·         strategic management

The ideal candidate must have:

·         Proven experience of practice management and the challenges of running a busy operation with strong personalities

·         Good attention to detail

·         Background with horses (not necessarily work related)

·         A highly organised approach with good planning skills

·         An ability to develop, communicate and manage those plans

·         Focus with a drive and ability to see things through to completion

·         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

·         An ability to recognise others’ ways of working and modifying own approach to get the best out of them

·         Good understanding of financial management

·         Confidence with all aspects of personnel management, excellent leadership skills and knowledge of staff development

·         Strong communication skills and focus on delivering exceptional customer service

Previous experience of running an equine veterinary practice would be desirable.

CVPM qualification desirable.
