Assistant Veterinary Surgeon, Equine Sport Vets

West Sussex

Ambulatory Practice caring for high level Show Jumping, Dressage and Event Horses. Sports medicine, lameness and poor performance assessment.

A whole-horse approach is taken, addressing musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, respiratory and psychological health. 

The majority of your time will spent working alongside the senior clinician, assisting in clinical assessment, diagnostic analgesia, imaging, treatment and rehabilitation planning. 

You should be at least 2 years qualified (no VetGDP), with sufficient experience in equine practice to be confident in routine first opinion procedures.

The position will involve early starts and late finishes, but no emergency on-call.

You will gain intensive experience and skills in accurate diagnosis, treatment and management of high level competition horses.
