EQUINE VETERINARY SURGEON

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join the team at Berkshire Equine, part of the Newmarket Equine Hospital group. We are a busy, independent 4-vet equine veterinary practice based in Headley, Berkshire and we see a varied caseload including racehorses, elite competition horses and studwork.

We have vets with experience in all areas of equine veterinary medicine. The practice has rapidly grown over the last 5 years and we hope to continue this growth going forward. This role would suit an experienced veterinary surgeon with an interest in sports horses and/or racehorse work. We aim to provide a first-class service to our clients and we’re looking for another vet to join us in doing this.

We have a happy, friendly, caring team that regularly socialise together. We hold monthly practice meetings with all vets and office members to discuss cases and make decisions as a team.

The successful candidate would be confident in all aspects of first opinion work including lameness investigation, pre-purchase examinations and diagnostic imaging. There is a wide variety of portable diagnostic equipment available to use including radiography, ultrasonography, gastroscopy and endoscopy. Cases requiring more detailed investigation or intervention can be referred to our sister practice Newmarket Equine Hospital.

The role offers a competitive salary and associated benefits to include work place pension scheme, generous CPD allowance, BEVA membership, RCVS & VDS fees paid and 25 days holiday.

For more information or an informal chat in confidence, please contact Charlotte Ingham on 07500171118 or Luke Hepburn on 07805950793.
