Most equine veterinary practices offer equine dentistry services and many veterinarians undergone postgraduate training in this discipline, including attending specialist dentistry courses run by BEVA. We advise that horse owners discuss any potential dental issues with their practice to determine how the best treatment can be obtained. In addition some dental services (excluding invasive treatments) can be provided by equine dental technicians (EDT's).

Practices which do not provide dental services may have a collaborative link with an accredited EDT.
