COURSE LIMITED TO 20 DELEGATES
Description:

This course is aimed at general equine practitioners who will be seeing an increasing number of older horses as the average age of the horse population increases. The day begins with lectures covering the commonly encountered geriatric conditions with a very hands on practical session in the afternoon. Here delegates can practice ultrasound of the liver, gain tuition on biopsy techniques and perform dentistry relevant to the older horses’ mouth and specific problems. The day closes with presentation of clinical cases and group discussion with all speakers on suitable diagnosis and treatment. The day will very much take into account that many older horses are uninsured and vets are expected to work within a budget but still achieve ‘best practice’ results.
