Spring Clinical Workshop: Competition Catastrophes

Summary

A delightful day observing, criticising and sympathising with renowned speakers from eventing, competition and racing, presenting a series of competition based scenarios. Pharmacological conundrums, communication mix-ups and PR blunders will be the order of the day, and, of course, dealing with medical and surgical emergencies at the competition and in the clinic afterwards. Equine vets are under increasing pressure from competitors, the media and the general public to perform miracles in adverse conditions. The panel will conclude with a discussion on the art of emergency medicine and the development of a more coordinated approach in training for competition vets.
